Celebrate your loved ones this Valentine’s Day by… forgetting the boys + hanging out with your girls instead! I don’t know about you, but sometimes Galentine’s Day can be even more fun than the traditional date with your Valentine. You don’t have to stress over perfecting your look or sweat over finding the perfect restaurant. Instead, you + your bride tribe can relax at home with some Rosé + Matthew Mcconaughey or spend the night out on town! Really, it’s the best of both worlds.

Get those cucumbers out + treat yourself to a spa!

I don’t know about you, but this week has been BUSY. Trust me, I am not one to take a break, but it is so so important to treat yourself to a self-care day once in a while. Today is the perfect day to do just that. End your stressful work week with a spa + TREAT yourselves. Get a facial, a massage and a mani pedi! Find a spa with saunas + heated pools! Why not go crazy?! Think of Galentine’s Day as a pre-bachelorette party + go all out. You badass boss babes deserve it.

Go on a hike

If you’re not one to see a spa day as relaxing + you prefer adventure, go on a hike! Bring your wanderlust girlfriends to Griffith Park or Santiago Oaks Regional Park + enjoy a day in the sun. Talk about goals + visions as you’re trekking up those LA or Santiago hills. Plan future vacays with your bride tribe or simply listen to music. Breathe in the fresh air, relax + have fun! Maybe even pack some fun snacks like chocolate covered strawberries + pink lemonade to enjoy at the top.

Soak up some sun + have a beach day!

Beach babes! Bring your girls to Laguna Beach or Dana Point, lay out your beach towels on the sand + enjoy a relaxing day by the ocean. Wear a cute bathing suit + have your own photoshoot. Show everyone on instagram why you live in the sunny + gorgeous California. Bring a few magazines to read while you lay out in the sun or carry a volleyball with you! Pack a basket of chocolate covered strawberries, cheese + crackers + wine. Stay until sunset + listen to music with your girls before heading out to a nice restaurant on the coast. Make a day out of it!

Shop ‘til you drop

Shopping is a social event—at least, that’s what I always say! I looove shopping, especially with my girlfriends. Check out the new 2ND + PCH shopping plaza in Long Beach. Shop around in Anthropologie or Free People + then grab a bite at Ola Mexican Kitchen. Pick up a cup of ice cream at Ample Hills Creamery + enjoy it with an oceanside view. If you’re in LA, take a stroll down Rodeo Drive and stop in Crate and Barrel or Pottery Barn. Start looking for decor for your new house with your soon-to-be hubby! There’s no bad time to go shopping, so why not go today?!

Go wine tasting in Temecula

Wine tasting is the perfect Galentine’s day event for your wine-loving friends! Explore your favorite wineries + enjoy a fun day in a vineyard. Temecula has great wineries like Vindemia Vineyard & Winery or Miramonte Winery. Plan to stay until golden hour + soak in the sunset views over the vineyard. Dress up + treat yourself to a fancy date with your girls. If you’re getting married in Temecula, show your bride tribe your venue!

Host a DIY or cookbook day

This is one of my favorite ideas because it just seems so cozy + fun! I looove a good DIY project + hosting a DIY or cookbook party sounds perfect to me. Embrace your creative + imaginative side and find a craft that’s fun + easy like creating a chic macramé wall hanging. Or ask your friends to bring a dish + their fave cookbook. This is a fun way to find new recipes AND eat really good food. You can even swap cookbooks at the end of the night + plan a second event like this!

Have a night in—wine, cheese, rom-coms + more!

Okay, maybe this rivals the last idea. After a long day, there’s nothing better than a relaxing night in. You can even pair this with any of the fun suggestions above! After a long day at the beach, bring your bride tribe back to your house for your very own Galentine’s Day party. Put together a cheese board (babes—Trader Joe’s cheese selection is where it’s at!), set up a watercolor station, buy the best wine + choose your fave rom-com. If you’re looking for a classic, The Proposal is always a really fun, cute + comedic choice. I also recommend How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Hitch, Monster-in-Law and a newer selection, Isn’t it Romantic.
