The sun’s out, wedding season is in full swing, and we hope everyone has been having as much fun this summer as we’ve been having with our amazing clients and partners. The Leilani squad absolutely loves what we do – from conceptualizing a vision with our clients, creating customized designs, collaborating with our industry partners, planning and executing the events, to finally seeing it all come together for our couples’ most special day! So, it’s always thrilling to learn that our hard work and labors of love have been featured in publications we admire and that continue to inspire us.
We’re beyond thrilled to announce that this summer, Leilani Weddings has had weddings and editorials we designed + planned picked up by 13 publications so far!
This post features our first ever editorial published in Green Wedding Shoes! For 3 more of our published works (California Wedding Day, Festival Brides, and Inspired By This), check out the other blog posts we made this week.

Brooklyn Winery Turned Into the Ultimate Bohemian Bliss Wedding
Our first 2019 wedding editorial in NYC was designed and planned by Natalie Faye Fern of Leilani Weddings in collaboration with Brooklyn Winery for a tasting event for 40 wedding clients! Wanting to take a popular venue and transform it in a way no one had done before, Natalie combed through photo archives of past weddings at the winery and noticed that most weddings shied away from dramatic installations – often keeping to the rustic industrial vibe of the space. This time, the urban winery in Williamsburg was turned into a wild, bohemian jungalow with a lush hanging floral arch, bamboo chairs for the ceremony in the round and reception, pops of peacock blue, tables bursting with blooms, and faux animals.
Completing the vibe were stylish, colorful suits by Stitch & Tie and boho gowns by Grace Loves Lace! The bridesmaid dresses and getting ready robes were by local NYC designer, Jenny Yoo. Fun fact #1: the getting ready segment of our shoot was used in Jenny Yoo’s ad campaign for their Isabella robes! Fun fact #2: The bride model, Duan Mackenzie, is a real Leilani bride, whose wedding we are designing and planning this September!
